Tia Simone is a LA-based vocalist,  performer and songwriter, originally hailing from Lansing MI, who is proficient in several musical styles including Rock, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Funk and Gospel.

 

Simone is currently touring with multi-platinum Pop artist Andy Grammer and musical collective Postmodern Jukebox.  She can also be seen performing with  a capella gospel and Motown group DC6 and the Broadway-themed ensemble Crimes of the Heart Cabaret. Former bands include rock and soul group Sugar Fly and glamrock group Ivory Deville.

 

In 2016, Simone was a favored contestant on the eleventh season of America's Got Talent and released her first EP with Sugar Fly. Simone was nominated for Best Vocalist at the 2015 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, where Sugar Fly won the Seany Robins Rock Award. Sugar Fly was also recognized as part of the “Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists and Bands” in Music Connections December 2015 issue and is featured on the Black Rock Coalition’s 30th Anniversary compilation album.

Tia Simone's true passion is singing and performing live but she also performs as a studio vocalist, a voice over artist and an onscreen vocalist. Her accolades include a collaboration with EDM artists The Pegboard Nerds on songs Heartbit and Can You Feel It, both reaching over a million hits on You Tube, voice over artist for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network and Sony Pictures, as well as featured vocalist on the television shows House of Lies, Good Day LA, Castle, and The Client List.
